A vintage Hubley cast iron doorstop in the form of a Scottie dog, in production circa 1930-1950. One of the heavier doorstops from Hubley, the Scottie stands at attention with alert ears and tail, and fine detailing to his coat. He is finished in black painted enamel. The Hubley Manufacturing Company was first incorporated in 1894 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania by John Hubley. The company is well know for their cast iron novelties. Their pieces are highly collectible and much sought after.
